The best ever?   Leave a comment

It's nice when a prediction of mine is right, especially a positive one: Eran Segal finished 10th in the EYOC long distance M16 course, in what is without doubt the best ever result by an Israeli junior orienteer. Now we're waiting for him to improve on that in the Sprint on Sunday, in what is probably his stronger discipline (he finished 14th last year).
Can he be the best ever Israeli orienteer, and lead us to new heights in international competition? The potential is there, and the motivation as well. We'll have to see if the system is good enough to give the required support, and if Eran can stay the distance. There are several years of hard work ahead, and not only for Eran himself, in order to succeed.
