Where am I ?   Leave a comment

Good question.

I last participated in an orienteering event almost 4 weeks ago. Since then I've done some orienteering stuff, but I'm overloaded with preparations for my wedding party next week, which has developed into a mega-event, so I haven't had much time for blogging.
So what's new?
1. We had a successful local event on the new map of Achihud South on April 17th.
2. I managed to get a day of mapping in Odem Forest, which was really interesting. I'll go into more detail after I draw the new area on the computer.
3. Then I was laid low by a mysterious (and severe) stomach pain, the evening before the national event at Gimzo (about which I've heard only good things). After spending the night in hospital, I had to skip the race, and the pain subsided gradually over the next three days. Now I'm running again, but we still don't know what caused the pain and I'm still undergoing tests. Everyone is joking that it was caused by stress due to the wedding…
4. I got a new laser rangefinder for my 42nd birthday – thanks to Petr Matula for advising Roni on what to buy! I still haven't had a chance to try it out.
5. I'll be going to JWOC 2010 in Denmark, as coach of our team. More on that later as well.

Life is interesting. After the wedding, I'll have time to get back to normal, but the season here in Israel will be almost over. However, I'm sure there will be lots of O to do.
