Out of Action   Leave a comment

Just as I was planning to start training again after the rogaine, I woke up on Monday with severe stomach pains, my doctor sent me off to hospital, and by the end of the day I was incapacitated in bed minus my appendix. I'm home now, but there will be no running, orienteering, mapping, or any such nonsense for at least a couple of weeks. Ouch.
When they heard of my condition, the ISOA (Israel Sport Orienteering Association) agreed to postpone tomorrow's national event at Be'eri to a future date, so that I wouldn't miss the race. Well, not really – it was postponed due to security issues, because the area is quite close to the Gaza Strip (less than 1 km) – but the timing was nice.
I like complaining about my work, but in general it's quite interesting, and I'll probably die of boredom at home. Maybe I'll write a lot of orienteering stuff instead.
